Mixed Media with Tricia Ruest
In this two day workshop we wil create a vibrant exciting artwork on a gessoed canvas. The process will be to collage and texture the surface, and complete the work with paint and dry media drawings.
Fantastic Acrylics with Jenni Kelly
This workshop introduces artists to creative fun acrylic methods. Be preparded to scrape, spray, fling, throw, roll and glaze paint. You will leave this workshop with a greater understanding of Acrylics and a new found confidence.
Introduction to Colour with Glen Gillard
This workshop is designed to be fun as well as intersting and informative. The workshop will deal with elementary colour mixing, the colour wheel, primary, secondary, harmonious and discordant colour and other related points such as hues, values and transparency.
Mixed Media with Tricia Reust
During this two day workshop we will be drawing on a canvas surface that has firstly been textured with papers and other materials, then coloured with acrylic paint. We will also use the technique of photo image transfer.
Ressurecting your Unwanted painting with Elena Ventura
This workshop is designed to explore techniques to give your unwanted acrylic paintings a new life, the fun and easy way.
Pastel Secrets with Penelope Gilbert-Ng
This is a fun packed weekend for those not scared of a challenge and who have lots of enthusiasm. The workshop will cover still life and landscape using pastels in a creative way. Penelope will demonstrate the use of under painting for setting the feel of pastel, simplification of the subject, how to design a painting for impact and will give lots of clues on the versatility of the pastel medium. Persomal tuition with heaps of information make this workshop a must to attend.
Expressive Watercolour with Tony Walker
This is an enjoyable workshop for those both new to the medium and the more established artist. The workshops cover a spectrum of techniques, materials and subject matter. Follow the artist in interpreting the subject and the sequence of logical steps to create a successful painting.
Life Drawing with Frances McKennariey
These drawing sessions are a journey into your personal response to drawing from the figure, with an emphasis on movement and rhythm. It is by learning to trust your personal response that a deeper appreciation and understanding of figure drawing is developed. The use of mixed media with charcoal, ink and pastel will also enrich to process. All levels of skill welcome.
Watercolour Class with Maria Field
These workshops are for those who wish to learn watercolour or to improve their current skills. You will be guided to develop your skills and understanding of the medium with step by step demonstrations and individual assistance. The emphasis is placed on the cause and effect of watercolour techniques, focal points, mixing darks, controling paint and edges, common problems, composition, design, creating light and mood, tone, planning your painting and interpreting photos.
