The Georges River Art Prize 2019 is open to all Australian permanent residents and citizens. Georges River Council employees and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
Entrants for the Georges River Art Prize, Georges River Local Artist Prize and Georges River Sculpture Prize, must be aged 18 years or over at the time of entry. Entrants who enter the painting prize and live in the Georges River Council Local Government
Georges River Art Prize ($10,000 acquisitive) and Georges River Local Art Prize ($4,000 acquisitive + solo exhibition) are open to original 2D paintings in any medium, such as watercolour, oil, acrylic, or mixed media. Paintings are defined as a work containing the physical medium of paint. In this category, mixed media is defined as an artwork consisting of at least 75% paint. Artworks created solely using pastels are not deemed paintings. Photography, drawing and digital media are specifically excluded.
