Art Competition Details
The annual National Capital Art Prize is the first Australia-wide competition for artworks of any subject.
This competition aims to ignite the passion and courage of artists across the country, many of whom lost the opportunity to display and sell their work during 2020-2021 with its devastating impact on the arts sector.

Online entries open: 7th February 2022, 6am AEST
Entries close: 30th June, 7pm AEST
Finalists publicly announced by: 17th July
Online voting for People’s Choice opens: 17th July
Judging period commences: 29th August
Online voting for People’s Choice closes: 11th September 11.59pm AEST
Official opening and award night: Week of the 12th of September
Exhibition open to the public: Week of the 12th of September
