Art Competition Details
The Lower Clarence Art and Crafts Association is a not for profit community association formed in 1963. The Ferry Park Gallery in Maclean, NSW is operated by members and an Executive Committee. The gallery only displays and sells work by local creatives.

Each year the LCACA runs an exhibition event with competition entries open to creatives nationally. Due to COVID and storm damage to our venue we have had to cancel the event for the last two years.

Normally we have the following categories of competition and exhibition: Fine Art & sculpture, members Fine Art, Junior Art, woodwork, photography, jewellery, wearable art, needle work, craft and patchwork/quilting. Prizes are very competitive for example – Fine Art 1st prize $2000, 2nd $700, 3rd 400 along with an indigenous art prize of $600.

This year the categories have been reduced and we will not be including photography, wearable art, needle work or crafts.

This event is not intended to make a profit for the LCACA but rather to provide an opportunity to creatives and the local community to take part in a cultural experience.

The last event in 2018 attracted approx. 160 entries in the Fine Art competition and approximately 600 visitors to the event over 2.5 days.

Who may enter? Open to anyone around the world
