Art Competition Details
Crackpot Studios and Gallery opened in March 2021 to showcase and support ceramic artists from around Australia. The four directors – Bridget, Caroline, Dana and Sarah are all graduates of the Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts (Ceramics) TAFE.
We decided to set up The Crackpot Cup Competition for artists to have something fun to do during this difficult year.
We feel a cup evokes a supportive environment where you can have a cuppa with friends and family – something a lot of us cannot do at the moment.
The competition has 3 categories for the cups – functional, mythical and futuristic. Competitors can enter all three categories if they so wish. Entry fee is $30 per cup. The competition will be judged by 2 very talented and well regarded Australian potters and a director of a Sydney Art Gallery and Museum. Information regarding entry is on our website. Prizes are $1000 for first prize, $400 for winners in other two categories and $200 for people’s choice.
