Art Competition Details
As part of our commitment to improving quality of life and health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, caring@home is holding an Indigenous Art Competition to raise awareness about palliative care.

All submitted artworks will be displayed on the caring@home website until 30 June 2023. The winning artworks will be used to illustrate resources being developed by caring@home for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families, a project funded by the Australian Government Department of Health.

The theme of the competition is ‘Journey to Dreaming at Home’. The theme highlights an important aspect of palliative care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people – a preference for care during the end-of-life journey to be provided at home.

Entries should focus on how care at home can help a person have a good end-of-life journey. Themes could include embracing spirituality, being with family, friends and community and/or connected to Country.
Artworks must be drawn, painted or printed on paper, canvas, or other similar medium or created in digital form. Photography, film/video, ceramics or sculpture are not eligible for this competition.

Cash prizes will be awarded in a number of categories.
