The artist competition calendar is in closing date order so you can plan well ahead for any competitions you may want to work towards.
As an artist I love entering art competitions. What I found was that there wasn’t one accessible place to find out what was out there. I would notice a competition in the local paper or at a gallery. Then there was the date that you had to have your entries in by. I made up a spreadsheet and planned for the year ahead with any art competitions I was interested in and made sure I had the closing dates clearly marked.
I then had the idea for creating a website that listed art competitions in closing date order. I added in the “Art Exhibitions” and “In the Spotlight” sections so that artists have a place to promote themselves and upcoming exhibitions.
