The Association of Sculptors of Victoria (ASV) has established a sculpture competition and exhibition as a major adjunct to the well established annual Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (MIFGS), which is attended by more than 125,000 visitors during the five-day event each year.
In 2019 the show runs from 27 to 31 March ASV invites sculptors to submit work in
any/all of three different prize categories of work:
1. Courtyard (up to 1 m in any direction);
2. Garden ( between 1 and 2 m) and
3. Estate (greater than 2m).
Prize-money of $2000 and $500 will be awarded in each of the three prize categories.
There will also be encouragement awards in each section offered by the Wandin Blacksmiths Group. A People’s Choice Award of $500 will also be made available.
