The Obi Art Prize is a National Art Prize which Encourages Artists to submit works around a new theme each year.  The theme focuses on social issues that need highlighting in a positive way.

The Theme for 2017 is RESPECT and the social issues you can choose from to create a positive work around are:

INIGENOUS HEALING

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

REFUGEES

LGBTI ISSUES

The Art Prize is part of the Obi Arts Project which raises funds for the Maleny Neighbourhood Centre to run Social Programs.

Sing for Change, and Creative Writings for change  use the theme of the Obi Art Prize for Singer Songwriters and creative writers/poets to submit works for social change.  Professional or Amateur can submit.

Ian  Dicko  Dickson will MC the Obi Painte Tie Event which will be the winners Announcement of the Obi Art Prize.
